About the community

The Anticipatory Governance community was founded in September, 2018 by dr. Joost Vervoort with the intention of giving academics, Phd & Master's students, and practitioners in the field a space to share knowledge and networking with like-minded people. The community originally began on slack with a handful of members and has now expanded to 650+ members since its inception.

The community is a platform for events, discussions, an annual conference, a book club, career support and writing groups. New developments in the community include a mentorship program for members and workshops hosted by community members. This community is also affiliated with the Earth System Governance Project.
